older wireless router as wireless card?

Is there any way to use a router as a wireless port. I have a router connected to dsl, I don't have another wireless card for my grandsons computer I'm building. I want to wireless connect to my router, can I use my old router as a wireless port.
I upgraded from a G to an N. I want to connect my old G to the grandsons computer, will it connect ?

you are trying to do this?

Internet > ethernet > Router ...wireless.... router > ethernet > computer

what you are trying to setup is called a wireless bridge. some routers can do it but most can't.

Hey bud, look for ADHOC settings, I believe that is what it is called.

Ad Hoc is for a direct computer to computer connection over wireless without a router.
