definitely good news, sony trying to offer "rentals" through the playstation store is kind of a joke...

Only thing that sucks is for the time being, you still have to get up and pop in a special disk into the PS3 to activate netflix. They say they should have it built into the borwser next year. I think its because of a deal they have with MS on the 360.

Just got an email from netflix saying that my DISC should be arriving tomm...SWEET! BTW there was a link believe it was www.netflix.com/PS3 where you sign up to get a disc

quick question on this...will the movies show as if you were watching the dvd or will there be some freezing, picture not so good, etc. I downloaded some free trial software called PlayOn( i believe thats the name), that lets me see movies from netflix or videos from hulu. Hulu portion was awesome but the netflix one was not, the movie clarity sucked and would freeze a lot. anyone done this also??

Depends on your network. Mine through wireless was less than desirable with tons of lag but it's probably not Netflixes fault. On my other blu-ray player it worked fine with HD quality but it's on powerline ethernet. I need to go ahead and run an ethernet cable to the PS3, I bet it'll work great then.

Got my disk on Friday, no e-mails.
