Is PeerGuardian 2 still the best?

Is peergaurdian 2 still the best... well... peer guardian? Been working on my security lately cause I been downloading a lot of DVD movies and such. I just wanted to know if there was anything out there by now, that is considered to be better.

To my knowledge, it is still the best. I just wish they would update their Mac client.

Been using PeerGuardian for years and never had any issues. Recently I found this other program that does the same thing but they will not work together at the same time so I'm just sticking with PG2. Here's the link if anybody wants to check it out.

Anyone gotten PG to work with Windows 7?

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

The website said they fixed it for both but I have yet to get it to work.

It shows up as a working process for me in the task manager (vista 64 bit) but I get no little taskbar icon so that I can monitor it in realtime. So who knows if it's really working or not.

If the process is running, the app is running as well. I'm not sure why there's no GUI though.

Im in the same boat. I have Vista 64 and the process is running, but no GUI. It will go through the update part and then just vanish

They haven't put out any updates for it in over two years. That's why I'm looking for something better.

Check these guys out, everyone. It's called Peerblock, and it's free. They are pretty much the same guys that came up with peerguardian 2, if I understand correctly. And they have fixed all the bugs in peergaurdian 2. Like the unsigned driver issue, and the not working for vista 64 bit. I am using them now, seems pretty good.
