Dry Loop DSL

Has anyone switched to ATT dry loop or naked DSL? I did the switch last Friday and was told it would be seamless. Well here it is Monday night, and my stuff doesn't work. Naturally they won't help me try and configure my zoom modem. I was hoping someone has had a similar issue and can tell me what is wrong

I finally got someone halfway competent in the tech support department. He scheduled a tech to come out this morning. The tech that made the house call said he didn't think I was wired up right at the office. Said that technician comes in around lunch time to check things. I will know this evening if I'm good to go or not.

It didn't work for the first week for me. I finally just broke down and got a measured phone line and dsl. Costs me 40 something a month.

yea they gave me the same crap... they said i wasn't wired up at the box down the street correctly... come to find out, the previous tech had wired 3 houses together in the box, so none of them worked right... took them 2 hours back and forth from the house and that box to get it straight..

it was funny because that was back when att employees were talking about striking so the manager for the area was working with the tech, brushing up on stuff, cause he was gonna have to take call outs for the first time in awhile lol.

my measured phone line and dsl was costing me about 60 a month after all of the taxes and fees and crap. I'm getting Elite with the dry loop service and it should only cost me $35 or so after the discounts. Trying to eliminate expenses that are not needed. I've got high speed at work which I can have access to anytime I want/need so I'm not hurting. They will get it working.

Can't be my fault! Hell it took me 45 minutes to explain to ATT tech support that I needed teh VPI and all of that to be able to configure my modem correctly because the auto set-up feature wasn't working properly

You honestly need to PM Rafa if you are still having issues. He will be able to get any issues resolved on his side. Lately there has been some stuff going on and he may need to straighten out some service order issues.

HUGE thanks to RAFA for getting my DSL connection straightened out. It went down this week and after two technicians not able to get it 100% corrected I sent him a message. Within a couple of hours and a short phone conversation we found the problem and I should be good to go when I get home tonight!

No problem man....also doesn't help that they gave you a vp/vc(for the modem) that shouldn't be used. AT&T uses 0/35.....8/35 is the other setting, but that is very very rarely used. 8/63 that they gave you, I have no idea how they came up with that.
