RAM question

What is the largest size of DDR2 DIMM RAM available? The biggest I can find is 2GB.

The reason I ask is:
I am looking at a HP HDX18t laptop to replace my Dell XPS.

While configuring the unit, the memory selection offers either DDR2 (in sizes of 3 or 4GB) or DDR3(in 4/6/6GB). If I order the machine with the smaller video card(512MB) it has to have the DDR2. If I order the bigger video card(1GB) it has to have the DDR3. I don't necessarily need the bigger video card, but would like the option of upgrading the RAM later. Since all I can find is the 2GB sticks of DDR2, I am thinking that if I am get that I will be maxed out at 4GB.

Thanks in advance for your help.

They make 4gx2 sticks but they aren't cheap. Like 180$ a piece. It would be better to go ahead and get the better video card with the 4gig ddr3. Anything over that, inless your running 64bit, will be useless.

That's exactly what I needed to know - the difference between the 4gb ddr2/512mb gpu and the 4gb ddr3/1gb gpu is only $120. It will be running Vista home premium 64bit with a free Windows 7 upgrade coming directly.
