Rock Band TV "problem"

whenever i seem to hook it up to a hd tv, whether i hook it up as hd or standard def. the notes are just a little off, so you have to actually time your strum/drum strike just a little ahead of the buttons.

i know you can "calibrate" the game in the menu, but that never makes it PERFECT. is there anyway to make it absolutely perfect? or do i have to just play it on an old tube tv?

Buy Rockband 2 and the guitar. It now self calibrates.

Yeah, you just hold the guitar up to the screen and start the calibrate function and it does it for you. You have to have the actual Rockband 2 guitar though. You can also download a program from the PS Store that will let you download all of the Rockband 1 songs onto your harddrive so that you have all of them on rockband 2. Well, on PS3 it does, if that's what you have. The program is like $5.

It'll still be a little bit off from my experiences, typically on an LCD, around 50ms is a good starting point.

Solution: buy a real guitar.

It's certainly closer than we could ever get manually but I've never played on a tube TV so it's hard for me to compare. Ours is DLP, not sure exactly where it ended up.

I could never get it perfectly calibrated, even on a regular TV. The notes were always a split-second ahead of the song. That's what really turned me off to the game. Never had that problem with guitar hero.

I know on my friend's TV, the guitar was off, but the drums were dead on. So we calibrated the guitar, then the drums were way off, we were like WTF? We just had to guess with it manually, and 50ms was as close as we could get it for some reason. It kept going back and forth if we did it auto.
