Rock Band : What skill level for drums?

I think I am pretty badass on the drums, and can prove it in a 1 on 1. Just checking the skill level on here.

How about you invest that time in learning a skill, like how to play a real guitar or drums

Psssst... cuz rock band makes me feel great, even states it after a song if you do good. Does a normal guitar or drums do that?

I think I got through maybe a song on hard. I never felt like putting a whole lot of time into the game. All I remember is that I could never get the song and the drums to sync up. The notes would always come about a 1/4 second before they actually played on the song.

Cause learning to play a real drum or guitar takes years to get good..to get good a video game takes maybe 2 days....Plus you dont have to spend tons of money on learning how to play, buying the equipment, taking lessons, etc etc etc..lastly anyone can come over and pick up the video game and play...not so much on a real instrument...

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

“It irritates me having watched my kids do it – if they spent as much time practising the guitar as learning how to press the buttons they’d be damn good by now.”

- Nick Mason of Pink Floyd

It's really only the time and the cost of lessons. You can get an entry level guitar for the same price as this game, if you don't already have the instruments from another version.

I'm not intending to be a dick here I'm just curious what it is that draws so may people to this game. I never got it, played it at a friends house for about 10 minutes and put it down

I do both, have Rockband and play it but also trying to learn guitar. Playing rockband is fun. You can get into the music without spendng years upon years of learning to play. Plus you can drink some beers, hang out with some friends and jam to some music.

I understand real musicians attitude towards the game and I was like that until I played it.
