Blue screen and restarts

My laptop starts up, goes to the "would you like to start in safe mode" screen, and no matter what option I choose, it goes ot blue screen and restarts. Any ideas or is there someone who can fix it?

Mine acted the same way so I google the model number and blue screen. Alot of links showed up and suggested motherboard, found a cheap one on ebay. Replaced amd has been good ever since. Hope that helps.

That may be the case. I found the same think with a google search. I guess I will just replace it, it is an Acer Aspire one, and they are cheap as hell.

see if it will boot with a bootable CD or flash drive...if it will, you may just need to reinstall the OS

I have dell with XP pro and when I boot it up it get as far the Windows splash screen and the scrooling bar at the bottom, then reboots. It did this about 6 months ago after windows update, I do not know if it did and auto update this time. I just know it is about a 2 day process to get all the data off the drive then reformat the drive and transfer it all back.

That is what ACER support tried, they sent me the usb to do that, and it still does the same thing.

My old shitty laptop started doing the same thing a few weeks ago.. I haven't fucked with it since though. I just figured it finally crapped out. Paid $299 for it new like 5-6 years ago so I really didn't care.
