running through a Dell Precision Workstation T7400 with an NVIDIA 8600GT and a Quadro FX 3450 installed.

All three monitors are on the same box.

Matt what sort of hook up or adapter is needed for 3 monitors?

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

You need multiple video cards. The box I have has dual PCI-Express slots. Also with Vista, you need to make sure they are both the same chipset. I.E. both Nvidia or both ATI cards.

Yes Good Will Hunting FTW.

So is one video card handling the movie, and the other handling the vista desktop, with split screens?

one video card is one monitor, and the other does two monitors. All extend the desktop into 3 monitors. I just chose the middle as my main one with the start bar and side bar.

You can use USB to VGA/DVI for the 3rd monitor. It will be only good for like reading email and stuff, no movies etc. We use them at work for the laptop users. The docking station has one DVI and one VGA and they need a third for blue prints.

Nice, I'm hoping to have a similar setup when I get back to California later next month. The movie monitor is going to be my Samsung LN46A860 though. I don't have any room in my bedroom (1 bedroom apartment and I hate electronics in the room that I sleep in) so I'm going to just do a 3 monitor media PC in the living room. Very nice though, I need to pick up another 24", got one Samsung 24" as well, might just stick with the brand
