Help. My laptop won't power on

I have a toshiba laptop, about two years old. Here is what happened my laptop was open and roomy had a ton of internet windows open, I could not get it respond so I unplugged the power cord, and then pulled out my battery, put it all back together and tried to turn it on,and it acts like it is not getting power, I have a second laptop that is identical I already tested the battery and power cord. What could it be. Thank you

Toshiba has some sort of procedure for this. Basically remove the HD, and like mentioned above hold the power button for 15-30 sec, and don't put the battery back in just bypass it and plug straight into wall socket

See what happens

happened to me on my X205 gaming notebook. It was partially power on, but no POST

Ok, thanks for the help, but unfortunately it did not fix the problem, I have tried that process many times without results. Any other ideas
