I'm a retard. USB drive won't show up in Command Prompt

So I'm trying to load Windows 7 off of a usb drive. I cannot get the stupid drive (sandisk u3 4GB) to show up in command prompt. I've formatted it through disk manager in explorer and am about to try to load the image of the OS onto it, but it's odd that it won't show up. It shows up fine in windows.

Any ideas?

How are you getting to this command prompt? Sounds like there aren't any USB device drivers loaded.

Do you still have the U3 software installed on the drive? If so, that could be the problem. There is a way to reformat the drive and get rid of that stuff.
