Windows automatic update question

I have my windows XP set up for automatic updates on my laptop and yesterday when I turned on my computer and booted up windows it automatically searched for new updates. So it comes up that there is an update available so download it and install it wth no problem. The update installs just fine but keeps coming back as if it hasn't been installed and I'm not sure what to do.

The update is Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB954430)

Any ideas?

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

Google KB954430 or got to microsoft.com. It will probably tell you how to fix the error.

I've checked the website and haven't found anything about it. I read where it tells what that update covers but that's all I've found. I'm trying to find out why it keeps popping up saying that I need to install the update when I've already installed the update without problems.

Any else run into this with other updates?
