Help....

I am trying to catalog a bunch of files I have into a spreadsheet. How can I get the file names into a .xls?

There has to be a way...I just can't seem to find out how.

TIA

David

You are in luck very easy......................Type them in : )

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Doesn't really make a difference.

But I did figure it out....it's funny, because I never would have thought in a million years that here in 2009 I would be forced to use DOS commands.

CMD - go to directory - dir *.* >list.txt

then import list.txt into excel and bam, there is what I needed.

It does make a difference, but whatever you got what you needed in your ghetto little way.

There are nifty apps out there for some file types that do real clean presentations and such. So it DOES make a difference.

I wanted ease of use, no downloading apps... just have it done, and sure enough...it is.

edit - and it isn't any type of mainstream file format. .nds
