I scanned it malwarebytes anti-malware, but it wouldn't remove the virus.

Go here...

PCPitsop's Virus Removal Forum, DL and install HijackThis and do a "System Scan and Save Logfile". Register @ Pcpistop and start a thread overthere w/ your HJT Log and the Malwarebytes Log as well.

Please be patient as they are hammered and only a hand full of HJT Advisors to help the infected. If you don't have an AV, lemme know and I'll host a freebie as some virus' won't let you go to security related websites.

Whatever you do, DON'T START DELETING THINGS W/ HJT w/ supervision. You could give yourself a doorstop.

alright, spent most of the weekend cleaning up both my computers. Desktop should be good to go, but my laptop which after I did everything then did system restore still has one issue.

It has Mcafee VirusScan 7.1.0

Now after I've ran my Virusscan and Malwarebytes they both come back clean.....BUT then my VirusScan pops up with a message in regards to a Trojan detection that it has moved, but won't remove? It's JS/Downloader-AUD is the Trojan Virus.
For some reason it won't allow me to remove the file? When I try I get this message:

Cannot delete index[3].htm: Access Denied
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

WTF does that mean?

What's your OS and what version? If you have XP Home you might be screwed if it changed the file access... I found it easier to just backup (FAST before you lose everything) and reformat if that is an option.
