I have a 2 month old DVD +/- R/RW/RAM drive.....the problem is that the computer (more specifically iTunes) isn't recognizing it as a burner and states "no CD or DVD burner can be detected". I know it's a burner, I've burned from iTunes already. I don't do it often. I've gone to the device manager and it shows it as on the list as being a DVDRAM (nothing about RW), but when I check for driver updates it says that it's up to date and calls it plainly a "CD-ROM". I'm running Vista 64. It's a 2 month old computer and I'm trying to not have to buy a new disc drive just yet. Any help would be appreciated.
Be thankful we're not getting all the government we're paying for.
