I eheim 1260, 1 1977 pontiac bonneville heater core, 2 scythe magnetic bearing 120mm fans = superior cooling, dead silent.

Yeah but your not workin on a beer budget. I'm tryin to get every last bit outta this till I build fresh.

It started out life like this and now has 650w Antec EW 650, Athlon 64 X2 5600+, 2gigs PC 6400, 1x 1 TB 32meg cache, 1x 500gig 16meg cache and Radeon 4850 along w/ extra fans listed above. I don't hink I can do anything else to it short of maxing out teh memory.

I really didn't spend that much money, I made just about every component including the water blocks. Just took some time.

how do you like that 4850?

That's purdy. Those Cosmos cases are like the Grand Canyon inside huh? I won't embarrass myself w/ pics of mine.
I like it a lot. If I had room for a dual slot cooler I'd have a 4870 but no bueno. I run [email protected] 24/7 and I can watch full screen HD vid w/out issue where I wasn't able to w/ my 9600GT OC.

although they are big, they are also extremely heavy cases. I was barely able to fit in the water setup in this case, but it did fit thankfully. I've been contemplating doing a crossfire setup in my system, I have a 8800 GTX at the moment.

Everything I've read says a pair of 4850's Xfire is the biggest bang for the buck.

Got a fan controller so you can at least negate it a little?

...Yeah, I'm not embarrassing myself with pics either. I reduced my 7 computers in my room to 2 - 1 being a VM server. With that came 9 drives, 7 of which I reallocated to a 1U VM server and my desktop. So...I got drives dangling all over the place.

lol I cleaned it up a bit last nigh so it's not quite so bad. I've been experimenting w/ fan placement for the most effectiveness. This stupid thing has a BTX mobo so it's all upside down and on the wrong side and to make matters worse it has a Type1 cooler. So with that in mind, my options for CPU cooling are VERY limited unless I fab something up to use an aftermarket cooler but room is still at a premium.

I took one of the 80mm fans and used some 1.25" screws to go through the fan case and between the fins on the CPU heat sink to mimick a typical CPU cooler and it seems to have helped some. I was running 58-63* under 85+% load while Folding.

This was my initial attempt at better cooling for the proc but failed terribly . The thought was if the air is forced all the way through the fins rather than just the first .75" it would cool better.

This will give you an idea of what I mean by limited room and crappy cooling.

I'm thinkin about moving the 92mm in place of the 80mm on the CPU heatsink and gettin some Arctic Silver for it along w/ lapping the HS and CPU for best contact and heat transfer.

Here's the hackjob 120mm blowing in the side on the GPU and mobo. I didn't have a 4.5" holesaw so I had to start w/ a 2.5" the open it up w/ a pneumatic saw kinda like a sawzall.

That and a filter or two and I'd call it the day. Yours looks like a competition neat case in comparison to my junk. I fully understand function over form. I got USB fans on all those drives for cooling.
