Excel Users, help with a formula please...

I have a pretty simple formula need, but it's been forever since I've done an of that in excel. I basically have a column of values (M) that I needed to be divided by 0.98, and have that total show in the next column (N). It's simple math, but with 83 line, it will take forever manually.

put the formula in the cell that you want the value to end up being.

click the bottom right corner and drag down the column and it should auto fill the forumla.

Just take a column (say O) and put .98 in the first cell and copy that all the way down as far as needed. Then take your column M and have it do for instance M1/Q1 and copy that cell (shortcut Cntrl + C) that all the way down (hightlight the the cells your wanting to copy it too and then do a (Control + V) which pastes the formula..If I understand you correctly that is.

i.e

Column M Column N Column O
Row 1 100 +M1/O1 .98
Row 2 150 +M2/O2 .98
Row 3 125 +M3/O3 .98
