I'm truckin' stumped... excel question

I need to convert time and have it automated for the entire row.

DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM:SS AM/PM to MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS AM/PM

Couldn't you highlight the cells you want changed, right click the highlighted cells, then click format cells?

No because it keeps thinking the date is the month.

Highlight the row or column, then format cells, then manually type in the format you want.

I'm getting annoyed now.

3/10/2009 12:06 PM - 3/9/2009 5:11 PM = 1135 minutes.

However it seems that the function is pulling the data before the reformat of the date. 42894 minutes.

So I guess now the last step is to get the function to read the info after it was formatted.

Edit: Found a workaround. Copy formatted data into Notepad, insert new column, remove all formats from new column, place info from Notepad into new column, base functions off new column, hide new column to clean up the mess.
