Work around website

Does any have a website that will work around company software that permits going to certain websites.

They have us blocked on any site that deals with weapons, firearms or ammo.

If they have filters good enough to block specific sites, they'll also have filters slick enough to stop what you're trying to do. There is ALWAYS a way, but it'll be above and beyond anything you want to do/learn.

General Dyanimics has the same sort of blocking software to prevent gun/ammo porn. The thing that was stupid about the gun block is that the only thing they make in Garland is bombs. 500, 1000, 2000 lbs dummy bombs with a guide kit. WTF ? We make bombs but can't look at guns.
Got to love being PC.

because that kind of technology does not work in Afghanistan.

kart21 isn't that the truth. I have to research a weapon system used by the bad dudes every now and then to learn about it for reports and can only get a wiki page at best.

You on a contracter network or DoD? if DoD (NIPR) I would STRONGLY advise against bypassing their measures. Yes, they have 100s of thousands (millions) of users and you may or may not get busted, but the penalties CAN be much worst then on a standard corporate network if they wanted to be dicks about it.

There are usually people you can request specific access from, assuming you really do have a valid need for specific sites.

Take care,

Take care,
contractor network, know better than to f around on the nipr/sipr

I know I can get one at a time sites opened but would also be nice to use non-valid reasons, like I want to buy more ammo or check the market price on a pistol. lol

Oh well off to the MWR tomorrow get in 30 minutes of surfing.
