Anyone into case modding?

Just seeing who has custom or homemade cases out there, I used to be really into it but have not put forth the time and effort lately. Am thinking about getting back into it soon though....

Here is one that I have done. It took about a month to get it perfect.

A couple of mine past and present and few projects here and there.

reservoir is a Q-tip holder I modified from the container store, the rad is a heater core out of a '77 pontiac bonneville modified, the pump is an Eheim 1260 aquarium pump. The fan shroud was made from a white t-shirt stretched over two fans with some fiberglass added in for rigidity, inverted and punched out to work as a shroud to fit my rad. It's hidden under the black cover on the top of the case.

Here's a custom waterblock I did:

I was thinking of doing a terminator themed one, either metal face coming out of front of side of case with lighted flashing eyes etc....

ok, so I got this all glass chess set that I am wanting to make a computer top out of and light up from the underside, has anyone every built a custom case out of wood? If the mother board, and hard drives are about 1/16th of inch off of the wood, does anyone think the wood would get too hot? Of course i will have fans, it will be a square shaped with mother board in middle and have 4 fans, two blowing in blowing through to 2 blowing out, also front swappable hard drives

diagram included! Will all be shiny black coat whenever i am finished..
