For the Apple Folks

Alright, not a huge Apple guy, but I've got an older PowerBook G4 that I got for free.

It tends to overheat after being on for a while, the fans run, but it gets hot (by touch over the keyboard), and locks up. It won't reboot right away, it beeps 3 beeps then just stays at the blank screen.

If I let it sit for an hour, it'll boot up again, and run for a few hours, then same thing.

Sometime it'll run for days before overheating.

Any suggestions?

I had a Toshiba with those problems...turns out the HD was going out and just took a crap one day after overheating everything. That would be my only guess to it.
