Do I need a new wireless router with high speed internet?

I'm having Roadrunner Highspeed internet installed on Saturday and I need opinions if my current Netgear 802.11g router will work great or will it hold back its potential? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1051826245223

The downstream speed is estimated at 7mbps and upstream speed at 1mbps & I'll be using it for online gaming.

it will work fine. you should hardwire your desktop if possible and use the wireless for other stuff.
