What the title says... I was into wow for 2 years but grew very bored with it. I would quit then come back but finally gave up 5 months ago. I have some time on my hands and I'm wanting to see whats out there. I'm pumped for SC2 and D3 but other than that I don't know where to turn. Anyone who plays Warhammer do you like it? Better or worse than wow?

i dig it. The only complaint so far for me is that the sides seem somewhat unbalanced at the moment on my server. Seems like lots more Destruction players than order players, but thats how it goes sometimes. Not like the order stuff isnt good, but i think its just people want to be evil =)


The realm vs realm stuff is pretty fun, and the acheivements you can get from it are very fun. I'm playing with AL P on the Thorgrim server as a Chaos Chosen, a pretty badass tank class. They make tanks work better than WOW because in WO you cant just simply run through a tank. Now they have collision detection.

My first big MMO was AoC, and i got bored of that real quick. Just couldnt motivate myself to play.

I like how if you try to go back in Tiers as a high lvl player, you get turned into a chicken for, well, being a chicken. I know in WoW if you are flagged its easy to get your ass kicked in a starter area by a high lvl if you arnt paying attention. It cant happen here. I got to kill a lvl 19 bright wizard as a lvl 9 once. He flagged RVR, i did too (by accident, not knowing what i was doing) and poof, he turned into a chicken since he was RVR in a Tier 1 area and wam, mega XP and reknown points for me.

In AoC it was easy to just get mauled PVP free for alls by high lvls.

I like how the system works out in WO. You have reknown xp, which is for fighting in RVR fights, regular XP, and then Chapter XP, which you get for doing public quests. I just now figured out how to really do public quests, and thats to find an open group, easy to join, of players trying to do the same quest. Good times and you get good loot.

I'm playing warhammer and I've played wow for 3 years now. I don't think it's very good. All it is, is battleground grind just like wow. Sure, there's more of them, but it's not that great. Like ryan said, chaos are 2:1 at the very least on almost all servers. There are also classes that are way overpowered and classes that suck, so yeah.

I really like the RvR keep sieges in Tier 2.
