Quicktime is broken!

Half of the movie files I have saved that play on quicktime are usless to me now, unless I can fix this problem I am having!

Half of my movies open up to a gren specled screen, that has random images of shit like icon files and what not faded into the background of the green and pink and shit. I thought I may be missing a codec or something (just reloaded the computer) but I went and updated the codecs that were available for quicktime and I'm still getting the same results.

Can anyone help?
...Thanks in advance!

attached is a sample of some of the shit I'm getting:

NEVERMIND: Switched to quicktime 6.5.2 and now all my movies work just fine. My suggestion: Don't update your shit!

Are you sure the movies you have need quick time? what is the extension

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Type of file: Quicktime movie
Opens with : Quicktime player

There quicktime movies becuase some of them I've had for a min. 90% of them show files in the background (at like 10% opacity) behind all the green shit.
