Computer shuts down

By itself and says insert boot disk. But it seems like it does it more when i'm on the internet, and also, when i i'm on the internet, i get the blue restart screen with errors. Anyone have any idea why it could be doing that? And it just started doing it out of nowhere.

Thats kind of what i was thinking, kind of like my hard drive if fixing to take a shit or something. I have a spare hard drive i guess i need to get loaded up and try that maybe.

Does anyone know how to piggy back the original hard drive and load the OS off of that?

You can change the way your computer boots up in bois, or change the jumper pins on the back of the hard drives, Change the one it boots up from now, to a slave, and change your extra to a master, But your going to have to install a windows OS on that extra hard drive.

Your best bet is to just re install Windows OS, you can try www.newegg.com and their OS are around 100 for the new vista, or 70 or so for XP, but your better off Just starting over, If i was you, and had important info on my computer i'd keep it offline, and put everything onto cd's or format my extra drive and move all my files to that drive, and reinstall on your master. Just my two cents...
Good luck!

When is the last time you blew the dust out of the cpu and power supply? If they get hot this kind of stuff starts happening. My laptop requires me to blow it out every couple of months or I get the same kind of stuff happening.
