I submit this for yalls review.

There are many reasons why I want a suite so don't tell me why I shouldn't have one or why pay for AV/firewall...

H.F. being behind a router? And I have good surfing habits but I'm a heavy downloader so I like the added protection. Another reason is my 6yr old uses this puter and I don't want her stumbling across/ dl'ing somethin and hammering our only puter.

I do have a good image but still like the amount of protection this provides.

I don't put consumer grade routers in the same category as a Cisco PIX/ASA or even an IOS firewall.

However, you do state that you only have 1 computer - so a "suite" might be the best solution for you. Your best bet is to google the ones you are looking for and obtain reviews from various online sites. You can compare technicalities, price and then make your choice.

I prefer to have something more than JUST and AV app and a on demand spyware scanner.
