what is the...

best brand of wireless controller for a ps2? trying to keep the old beater going as long as possible.... any ideas? seems like the stuff on ebay is all crap...

Most of the third party controllers are crap, even the big names that make them tend to break pretty easily. If you can't find a good deal on a sony controller then it's really a role of the dice to find one that one that wont have issues with the buttons sticking and or breaking often.

Thanks for the input. My kid's pretty rough on them so any ideas on particular brands to stay away from? anybody?

I never ever buy anything other than Sony. All other ones either suck or break really easy. But that goes for all my consoles. Never buy anything other than name brand.

The number one thing that breaks on the off brand controllers are the thumb sticks breaking and/or jamming, and the other buttons sticking and not releasing after being pressed down.
