Motorola Q9 Or Blackjack II

Most of what I've been reading on the net indicates that the Q9 is a slightly better Smartphone, but there are still some pluses on the BJII..

Opinions out here?

I have the BJII, had no problems here. Works fine for what I do, but then again I am not a phone nerd.

Looks like they are pretty damned close, and I tempted to just go with the BJII...only thing I'm converned about is signal strength. I currently have the original Blackjack, and it hasn't been great for strength....some of the tests/comparisons I've seen on the net indicate similar behavior from the BJII as well.

How's yours do?

I'm not a phone nerd either, but I do quite a bit of email on my phone for work, as well as text, and also have a need to roam globally a few times a year with it.

I have had no issues with signal. Mine works fine. I do lots of nation wide traveling with no problems either.

Had a Moto Q for about a week - the phone portion worked fine. I just didn't like how you had to navigate through different programs. I ended up getting a Tilt and I am much happier with it.

My wife has the BJII, and it's JUNK!! Signal quality is poor at best, and no signal at home. We have never had signal problems here at home untill she got the BJII.

Avoid the Blackjack 2. Besides all the fun little idiosyncracies Windows bestows up on you (think having to reboot, think not accessing the internet for some reason, think slow), mine drops calls all the time.

I ended up finding a pretty good deal on a Q9 off of Craigslist....picked it up yesterday, and so far it seems pretty badass.....I definatley have better signal strength here at my house than I did with my old Blackjack. The GPS is really cool too!

I'll report back after a week or 2.
