AT&T DSL modem question

So I have an extra speedstream 5100 modem here, and want to replace the 4100 with it, what would I have to do to get it to work? Just reset the new modem, and reinput my information into it like the 4100? Or something entirely different?

Are you gonna be using wireless or just Ethernet?

Wireless or ethernet really doesn't matter. You will probably have to contact your provider and give them the s/n and mac address of the modem. Just try it and if it doesn't work then give them a call.
