Cant get rid of stupid Mcafee

I have a shitty store bought Gateway GT5408 that is the web browser and college homework doer. My problem is that the Mcafee that came with it will not sit still and shut the fuck up. I deleted the program, but some how still it runs. So i went into services and disabled pretty much everything Mcafee but the "Mcafee daily scanner" or whatever its called can not be turned off. It's just greyed out. Im sure thats whats hogging up all my RAM as I have everything else that is non essential disabled. Anyone know what i might be able to do to stop this?

And Godmagus, just in case i dont catch your post... STFU

That wont fix it all. I ran into a huge problem w/ a McAfee suite that wouln't totally uninstall. I was trying to put NIS 2008 on it which was installed via the FIOS homepage and it kept detecting trace files from McAfee which prevented it from installing NIS.

Just for reference. You can use this tool, but if you ever try to install NIS, dont be surprised if you have a problem w/ it

What is it? I have also had that problem with limewire but i didnt really care as it wasnt always trying to do something without permission. Even after you uninstall limewire, some of the files/folders still remain. You can see em just by doing a search for "limewire" using the windows search.

Run regedit and delete all instances of "mcafee." Works every time.
