Guitar Hero III Xbox360

Just got a used bundle from ebay. Everything looked new actually and in great shape. Well it seems the red button on the guitar doesn't want to work. I just did a search and it's a pretty common problem to have a variety of issues with the detachable neck. I think it's a stupid design, curious if anyone on here has had any issues. I left them a message to see if they can work with me on it, but no telling. Guess I'll have to start researching EVERYTHING I buy from now on. Forgot people can't make shit anymore.

I had the same problem, if you move the neck at all while playing, 1 of the buttons would quit working.

I took a piece of paper, I think I used an old business card, and folded it up and inserted it into the body while inserting the neck. It took out the slack and I haven't had a problem with it since.

Eh I didnt trust that whole broken apart wireless design so I got wired ones on both.
and the rock band guitar is one piece as well. Well besides the plastic end, which doesnt affect the buttons.

cause clearly the button mechanism will work better with a wire coming out the back of the main device.

If that's in reference to my post, please re-read.
The wireless guitar was the one that broke apart. My stating I bought wired was simply a shortcut to saying I bought the one that doesn't break in half. K thx.

Although I really did not get that out of your post - it was intended for those who indicated the wire makes a difference on how the button works.

Dunno, seen several of the wireless GHIII guitars and no issues with any of them.

Now, it could be a manufacturing issue and they make the buttons different on the wired ones - but it certainly is not the wireless technology causing the issue.

Oh I completely agree, and I didn't intend to portray that message.
I was simply saying I got the wired ones that don't break apart in the middle, just sounds different I guess.

I don't trust the whole Neck coming off especially with cheap plastics these days. I can see the contacts definitely seperating in some instances. Although I'm sure many work great if treated properly.
No smashing the guitar against the floor after rockin solo's.

On a side note...
For some reason Rock Bands drum pedal kills me......I can run fine at the gym but that thing just kills my lower leg.........lol.
