ok why won't my IE cookie settings stay the same???

The other day my wife got on the computer and all kinds of pop up ads started coming up. I haven't had any problems the day before though. Well I ran norton and a ATT spyware software, nothing came up. so I went in and turned on the windows firewall, the norton was already running. Well I went into the IE settings and the cookie level was set to accept all cookies, funny I've never changed that. so I changed it to medium high security. ok well as soon as you click ok and go back in the cookie changes back to accept all cookies!!!! DO I need to reinstall IE or wondows all togehter? because the stupid norton and att stuff is still saying nothign is there.

Norton is junk,
Windows firewall does nothing. Its just a big open door.

Run Spybot and Adware, google, and see what you get. you just picked up something that changes your settings.

also, use spyware blaster and it will tell you what settings are good/bad in IE.

I second hunt4mex's advice.
