Terminal Services.

Question about Terminal Services. I have an environment with a couple different servers, One server has a specialized application that remote users term srv into to use it. The other server is the Domain Controller and the Term Services.

My question is. Does Term services have to reside on the machine with the application? It is working in the current environment but a buddy of mine swears it has to reside on the same server. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

It is Server 2003 SE

Alright a little confused with the first part. You say the other server has terminal services on it? Not really related. Unless your saying the term serv licensing server is installed there

Terminal services has to be running on the box you want to connect to. It runs a service that listens on port 3389 to accept the connection, without this installed your SOL.
