Need program to erase hard drive

I've got about 20 PC's that I need to return for lease and I want to wipe the drive easily and quickly. I've used a program before on a CD that I could put in and wipe the drive in a matter of seconds. I don't remember the name of it and now I can't find anything that's free. Does anybody have anything they would recommend?

Why do you ask? Do you want some of it before it's gone?

Probly a noob question to you guys but hey im still a noob. Do you get to keep all your drivers when you do this? this would be scary to me if you dont cause i have never tracked down all the drivers for a machine and reinstalled them. also, tell me if im understanding this right. your drivers you have to have to run the machine at all right? so if you did somehow erase them all, how would you get the machine to run long enough to put them back on? seems like i saw a couple threads where people were needing to re do all their drivers on a PC that was having trouble and that got me wondering.

Yes, it would be a good idea to make sure you have the drivers BEFORE you wipe it clean. In fact, it wouldn't hurt to back up the whole drive before you do. A lot of times, the network driver is one of the ones that windows won't install with a new install. Without the network connection, you have no internet. It's a pain in the ass to have to use another machine to go get the drivers.

It depends on what version you have as to how you will do image. You can find an older version online for free. I downloaded one just yesterday. Just search for "ghost.exe". You can use it to image one partition or the whole drive. For a 10G image size, it may only take about 10 minutes to image a drive once you figure out how to use it.

How old is your copy? I thought Symantec bought out DriveImage and integrated it into Ghost.

Its does sector to sector copying.

If you are looking for like a network solution, use ghost. I just use driveimage to backup drives before format or changing out their equipment.
