MS Excel experts?

I've got a question for you. Does anyone know the formula for ranges?

For example:

If I enter 82 into a cell, I want it to go to the corresponding cell below (different place on the spreadsheet) and enter the number that it relates to in that range. Say it falls between 80-85, would equal 4 on that scale.

Does that make sense?

Thanks for the help.

Be a little more specific. You want to enter the number 82 in a cell (for example A1) and then have it scroll the screen down to cell A82 and put the cursor there for you?

Yes, I want to be able to translate numbers, to a corresponding number from a range.

IE, My productivity was 83%, which I'll place in cell A1. I want the data from A1 to go down to cell B23 where my productivity key states that "80%-85%" scores a 3.

Does that make sense?

Pretty much, I tried to PM you but your inbox is full.

Send me the spreadsheet to [email protected] and I'll be able to check it out and send it right back!
