I did the same. Also, you can get the manual there too (it doesn't come with one).

If you want to add any games or software you have to jailbreak it which voids the warranty. I don't know of any other way so it's kinda up to you to determine how useful that warranty may be to you. I do know you can get some really cool shit for them though.

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

It's either a 6 month or 1 year factory warranty and it depends on if you bought an extended Apple Care warranty. Check with carless chris bout lewis derrick

yup, that's what i did. before i ever took it out of the package, i applied the plastic screen thing and the wrap that covers the back too. i hate stupid bulky holsters/covers. i put it straight in my pocket and it keeps it from getting any scratches.

as far as 3rd party apps, i wasted a weekend trying to jailbreaking it. while the jailbreaking part is easy, trying to get the voice service back ISNT. i just wound up throwing in the towel in defeat. im pretty sure you have to mess with the baseband versions and stuff and i just dont feel like getting into it.

My new fav thing is the Maps; I was lost yesterday, and it came in handy!!

My plastic cover is purple. You can't even tell it's a phone cover.

Even without the screen protector you would actually have to put up an effort to scratch it. My experience with the iPhone has shown that it is extremely durable. When I am selling it I will pull my keys out of my pocket and scratch them up and down the screen over and over with enough force applied to ruin a tilt or a blackberry. I also slam it on the table a few times with some force to simulate dropping.

*disclaimer* I am not recommending you do this with your phone. I work for at&t and I use demo phones when I do this. I did not post this for someone to prove me wrong, I posted this saying I am impressed with my experience with them. *disclaimer*

Depending on what type of cover you want you can get them as cheap as $1.99 on ebay. I ordered 2 different silicon cases each was about $7 shipped and the the a hard plastic clear case which was $14.99.

3g may be great for internet, but it absolutely sucks for phone use! I had it with my 8525, and that was one of the main reasons I switched to the iphone. I'd rather have reliable phone service, without any dropped calls, than faster internet. Wifi's are avalliable almost anywhere, and the iphone picks it up automatically.

Hey, store 16 gigs of memory on your phone without having to carry around memory cards. Or pull a 1 touch stock quote for me? or maps with free directory assistance?

Everything that the iphone doesnt do can be fixed with a jailbreak. Every phone has its selling points and its drawbacks. The iphone isn't 10 inches thick like the tilt. it has a nice, convenient touchscreen unlike the blackberries. And did i mention 16 gigs of storage space?

Yeah, I know, I called you about the 8525 that day, but you already had someone on the way to get it, so I got a tilt instead. I haven't had 1 dropped call yet in two weeks of owning it. Plus the gps on it is pretty cool.

It doesn't really void your warranty! Well it does if you tell them you did it to your phone. But they have a program out that totally erases anything done to it and reflashes it to normal specs or w/e its called Virginizer or something i've never had to do it so i dont know the correct name. People have used harmful third party software to jailbreak their phone and bricked them. Then they have to use that virginizer to get it working again. Also when the SDK comes out you wont have to jailbreak it but the bad thing is no one knows when it will come out.

And x1billion on the plastic cover thingy it rocks. Keeps my iphone screen perfect!! i'm running 1.1.3 jailbroken btw w/o any problems.

Dropped calls were an everyday thing with me on the 3g network. For business, that sucked! I was always dropping calls with customers

I have a tilt, and they make 32gb micro sd cards, you work for at&t, you should know this. And I can fuck with the settings on my phone, and not have to worry about my warranty not being any good after that. I can even run more than one program at once, fancy, I know.

Proximity gps, not very accurate. http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/apple/iph...rks-301459.php

No dropped calls here yet, I hope it stays that way.

You even have the most badass perk of running windows. The ultimate in fault free operating systems. The largest memory cards we carry in our store is 4 gigs, and with the exception of the tilt, MOST phones cannot run larger than a 2-4 gig memory card. You're right though, running more than one program is great. I love bogging down the proccessor on my phone.

I'm not saying that the iphone is "better" than the tilt. They are both great phones. I'm just saying each one is better suited to a different person.

Accurate enough, and it's free.

iphone is a great phone, and I'm not sure why so many people have a problem with it. It is by far, the best and easiest PDA phone I've ever used, and it's one touch application is outstanding! No more pointer thingy's to break, no more scratched screens from that damn pointer thingy!

It's cool, I'd be lying out my ass if selling iphones made me money too I'm sure you knew that the processor in the tilt is way better than the iphone one too, right? I'm just fucking with you, I just don't think the iphone is so great, they left out a lot of key features on it IMO, if they fix all that in the next version, I'll probably end up buying one, but I don't really know why since I already have an 80gb ipod, lol.

I'm waiting for someone to say "but you don't have youtube!111" Yes I do, tcpmp player ftmfw.

The gps on my phone is free, and very accurate, I just use google maps on it, or livesearch, telenav isn't worth it for the $9.99 a month charge.

One of my good friends has an iphone, he bought it from my brother, the next day it overheated, and fried some internal shit, but my brother got the extended warranty, so he traded it in for a new one. I was showing him my phone sunday, and he was telling me how he wished he had a stylus for it, and kept trying to get mine to work on his iphone, lol. A few minutes later after using my tilt he said he wanted one instead.

Oh okay.. I was just making sure it wasn't anything too serious. I have downloaded all the ringtones that I want for now and video recording and messaging isn't something I care enough about to even notice. I have taken pictures and was able to forward them.

The Tilt is too damn big for me, and I don't have man hands to carry it around or place it in my pocket.

Well to each its own..

Stylus is a PITA.
I had the 8525 before this one, and I tried the Tilt out before purchasing the iphone. For me, the iphone was a better choice. For you, it was the Tilt. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase, and a lot of things can be fixed with a firmware update.

It's not so bad even without the stylus, just have to be a little more careful with where you touch.

That reminds me I need to flash the 1.6 update on my tilt, version 1.57 now. I think htc just released it.

The iphone runs at ~412mhz while the tilt runs at 400. The tilt has a dual core proccessor but that really doesnt matter when the iphone is only running one program at a time. You are correct though. The tilt processor is better. It's (the iphone) a very innovative phone. My opinion is that it was released too early with promises of added features during the updates. I have had an iphone and I have had a tilt. I cannot say that I liked either one better than the other. I prefer the tactile response from the tilt (i.e. buttons), but the iphone is just a much cooler phone. Also I like how slim the iphone is when carrying it in my pocket. I think for people who focus on media, the iphone is better. The tilt is a better phone for more rounded use.

3rd party apps are already being made to correct this, if apple isn't working on it already. Video Recording is being made my monsterandfriends.com. As far as picture messaging its all being worked on my 3rd pt devs. But apple did leave them out and was one of the only things i hated about my phone at first. Now i have no complaints about it. I think people try to make their phone better than the iphone cuz they are jealous? idk When it came out a ton of people were like man i want one but its too expensive. Now they are like meh my phone is better cuz they dont have one? To each their own i guess.

Jealous of what? Having to install a shitload of stuff for my phone to work how I want? My brother sold his 16gb for $250 to my friend, I paid $400 -$100 mail in rebate for the tilt, I guess those dang iphones are just too expensive.

Actually you dont install a shit load of stuff. It takes 10min to jailbreak now and you choose what you want to install?? I dont know the tilt so i'm not saying its a bad phone jus saying apple did leave some stuff out but its still an awesome phone. And if there wasn't an iphone your phone probably wouldnt' have been so cheap. Only reason they are so cheap is cuz they are tryin to stop people from wanting them. The iphone that is! *edit*

I have to say I'm pretty happy with my iPhone as I'm using it now.
I would like to know if the 1.1.3 firmware can be hacked yet? I orginally bought the 1.1.3 firmware version and my buddy couldn't hack it. I had to go out and buy another one with 1.1.2 version in order to add all the extra games and funny little gadgets.
Pretty damn cool phone me. I love the org nintendo games I get to play. Mario brothers, zelda, exebike, etc etc
