Anyone know somewhere to get a good used laptop?

Im looking for a Gaming laptop, but it doesn't have to be the worlds best or anything. It just has to be good enough to run World of Warcraft decently. My current occupation has me spending long hours all night long staring at a wall or watching crummy television. I know the first thing people will say is ebay, but i have been scammed 1 to many times and i really don't want to be wont be scammed again so i really try to avoid buying on ebay. I also looked at tiger direct but it seems they are a little short on refurbished ones with a graphics card installed. can anyone suggest a good place to buy a used one that is capable of running WoW well enough? i know that they get more costly for even less bang when you get into laptops, but it would seem that it is an old enough game so that it shouldn't be to awful pricey if i get a used one, or perhaps a refurbished one. If you have one for sale, you might let me know. any suggestions?

Think you need to format/reinstall your OS(XP), read this first.

thankx to txredneck i sent them an email. but i did think of another option i might have but i have a question about it first. I know its hard to upgrade a laptop, but
is it completly outside the realm of possibility to buy a decent one that only lacks a graphics card.. and install one in it? I dont know much about laptops so i wouldn't know. can anyone enlighten me?

Its really depends on how its pre-configured.
When I bought my E1705 from dell, I had to order it with a 7900GS just to be able to upgrade (which than was upgraded to a 7900GTX to a Quadro 3500M) it.
You Have to make sure it has a "dedicated" graphics card and stay away from an integrated graphics card.

Check out forums.notebookreview.com, that's a bad ass forum for laptop owners/modders.

Also upgraded laptop video cards and cpu's is expensive. The quadro I bought for my laptop was about 600 from most e-tailers thank god for ebay. Same goes for cpu's, way overpriced.

alright thanks for the info. I was just hoping that scince wow is kinda old now, that many of the old, really-good-at-the-time laptops that were capable of running it back when it came out would be availble now as refurbished or used, much like many PC's. But im finding that's not the case, unfortunatly.

I have a couple of laptops from around 2-3 years ago that run it just fine. 'Bout to retire one of them if you're interested (buying new desktop and the whole cycle thing gets that laptop mothballed) - PM with price range and you'd be able to demo it prior to buying it....I ain't got nothing to hide.

Take care,

My '03 Sold.
