Running an OS through another OS

Recently picked up a mac book, and have the parallels program, and i like the idea of it all, but i use mostly XP based OS for my home network but just wanna play around with some linux or maybe a mac os, is there a program to do this through windows? like parallels does windows through a mac?

From what I remember, your mac has to be Intel based to run fusion(VMware)
