How to transfer music

ok so i have a bunch of songs on my PC and a while back i transfered all the music to my laptop through the network i made. now i have downloaded more music on my PC and want to transfer those songs to my laptop but just the new ones. is there any way to do this without going through and picking each one out. also is there a way that i can make it do it automatically. and no i cant just use the shared folder and play it on the laptop from there because i am going to take the laptop in the car with me on a trip. any help would be great.

just a thought but have you considered just burning all of your music files onto a blank DVD or if you have a TON of music maybe a Double Layer DVD? I assume you are using mp3 format for your music. If so, you can probably put over 1000 songs on a standard single layer DVD, and double that for double layer. I back up all of my music on 2 DVD's.

I just skimmed through this but is what I do is go to View, then view by details. Then sort the date modified to the most recent. Then you can see what songs were added in descending order. Does this make sense?
