Multimedia Audio Controller

I accidently deleted my Multimedia Audio Controller, so now I cant hear jack squat.
I dont know how I deleted it..

I have a Toshiba Satelitte Laptop, Model number M55-S329. Can anyone tell me how I can reinstall the driver or find a website to download a new one. Ive already been to the device manager and tried to reinstall it that way, but it wont work..

I dont want to have to take it to a shop and pay money to have it fixed.

Can anyone help?!

Provided your using XP or Vista a restore point from the day before should take care of it.

Listen to my buddy, Jeff Bolton, from 6-9 AM Mon-Fri.

Obamanomics = Trickle Up Poverty

Think you need to format/reinstall your OS(XP), read this first.

go to toshiba's website, go to support and find driver/sofware download. enter your model number and download the audio driver and reinstall.

does it show at all under device manager? Even as a "?"?

Anyway, did ya try just rebooting? Also, prior to downloading drivers I'd use the add hardware wizard.

control panel - add hardware and go from there.

If that fails, I'd do exactly as suggested in post 7.

No, it doesnt say anything..

I keep extracting the files. Go back to the installation and try and download it and it wont do anything. So I repeat the step. And nothing..

you right click, then save to your hard drive, then double click the .exe file?

Then if you go into device manager, and right click the sound card, and choose properties, what does it say? If you choose reinstall driver, and point to where you extracted the files, does it work?

If you can get on the internet, I'd be more than willing to look at it for you, PM me for some details.
