Laptop Screen Cracked..help?

Ok..my friend's laptop screen cracked..on the inside. He just got it about 40 days ago..what does he do?? How much do you think it would cost??

'89 LX Hatchback 5.0 - 306, GT40 intake, Trickflow Fast As Cast 190cc, stock cam, 1.6 RR's, UD pullies, 3.73's, BBK shorties, Mac off-road H pipe, Flowmaster 44 series, Stage 2 clutch, Hurst shifter, k-member, control arms, coil-overs, 5-lug'd.
**14.2 @ 96 before motor build**14.3 @ 103 after motor rebuild** leaving off idle, grinding into 2nd gear, missing 3rd gear, on street tires. Need a good T5. Or a decent price on a rebuild. PM me?

someone plz help..where can i ship it to? is it under Toshiba warranty? just got it 41 days ago. Who here knows of anyone that can repair laptop LCD screens?

Call toshiba. They might fix it.

If not, look on ebay for a replacement. prob run ya 160. not hard to replace.

That was quick. Not even a month and a half. Someone's fucked! Oh, and yeah, cracked screens aren't covered under warranty. One word for ya....eBay!

Would yall say thats a good deal? $170 including shipping.. ahh gotta get this fixed ASAP..the crack runs down through the entire screen..but i can see just about everything good..just gotta get it fixed now..its killing me.

double the price and you can get a complete dell laptop. They have them for like $399 right now.

i got the one for $399 lol..its a Satellite A135-S7404...just got it 41 days ago. dammit.

it's actually very easy to repair. I've got 4 laptops at my house now, that i need to get rid of, that I've fixed myself, because clients would rather buy new ones.

Its not hard at all. Just get a set of small screwdrivers. Look on the manu sites for a manual and it will have step by step.

so i could do it myself with no problem?? im scared cuz the LCD is cracked all the way through the screen..and i think the slightest amount of wrong pressure it will completely break and i wont be able to see the screen at all..i think im lucky at what im seeing because i can still use the laptop with no problem..

If the screen breaks, who cares, you're getting another one right? Like they said above. Just get a small set of screwdrivers. They're most likely tiny philips screws. Just take it apart and put it back the same way you took it off. Or if you're scared to f*ck it up, then just take it to somebody. I'm sure someone would do it for $20 bucks. It's easy. It's easier than changing some spark plugs, and you don't get dirty in the process
