Computer parts trading thread

Not sure if this violates any of the classifieds regulations, but would anyone be interested in devoting a thread just to trading parts? I have alot of crap that I want to get rid of but it's really not worth selling. I'm sure most of you have stuff ya'll would like to unload and also have stuff ya'll are looking for. I have a couple video cards, sticks of RAM, power supplies, etc that I don't need so if someone here could use them, I'd rather trade them than trash them. Good idea?

I have an entire office full of crap parts, and bs, that people may or may not need.

Hell if you need any sort of power adapter for a router/switch, or other misc equipment, let me know. We have a box full of em.

Well if people think it's a good idea and the mods have blessed it, then we can make an official thread.

next week, i'll run by the office, and make a list. Seriously we've got boxes of shit, and 2 storage cabinets full of shit too.

All kinds of stuff. 7 years of being in business as an IT company will do that

I've also got a few laptops that work, but need an OS loaded on them.

Matt - shoot me a price on one. I need to buy one for my wife's grandmother. She's like 68 or so, so it doesn't need to be special. Just capable of using broadband (non-wireless) and have enough memory/HD space to run office/IE.

Good idea.

I have 2 boxes of PC parts that are collecting dust. However, the only laptop parts I have is a fairly new stick of Hynix PC3200 RAM 256 MB.

I have enough Ethernet cables to wire an entire house if need be.

I'm looking for a new video card, current card and system is as follows:

2.6gb Pentium 4
1gb DDR Ram
160gb hard drive
Audio Audigy 2 sound card.
256mb GeForce 4 4600 Ti.

Looking for a card that'll preform better then the one I got without having to buy a new processor.

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

What power supply do you have? I used to use a 6600GT and it was a good card or look into newer AGP cards but they will be more $$$

I didn't think the 4600Ti's were bad cards. If you get rid of it let me know. My kids have a 9200se I want to replace.

I didn't think the 4600Ti's were bad cards. If you get rid of it let me know. My kids have a 9200se I want to replace.
It's a pretty good card, but I'm noticing that I can't hardly any of the new games that are out. Lots of them say incompatible video card when I try to install them. Even if I have to play with the graphics most of the way down, I'll do that and get a card that's just a bit newer.

I'll have to double check the power supply... but if i find something and i get rid of the card i'll definitely let you know.

I've got a D-Link Wireless USB if anyone is interested. I don't have the original CD for it but I can download the driver online and just put it to a CD for you.
