Boot from your windows cd and act like you are doing a fresh install. See if you get the option to kill all of your partitions and start over that way.

Buying dogs kills.

yup, you will get to the list of all hd's and partitions and unallocated space. just delete all of them by hitting D.

you will then wind up with 300gb of unallocated space (should be listed as 1 entry at this point). just hit enter on that to install xp to that drive. format it using ntfs and you are good to go.

win2000 and xp both can support 2TB in NTFS but in FAT32 can only support 32GB.

should be fine as long as its ntfs.

2000 pro is the essentially the same interface as xp. if it wont let you delete that partition, sounds like your HD is fucked up.

I have tried putting Vista on my puter and it did the same thing. My puter came w/a d:\ partition and It would not let me format/erase much less touch the partition.

I had to use an XP disk and wipe it to regain that partition.

Listen to my buddy, Jeff Bolton, from 6-9 AM Mon-Fri.

Obamanomics = Trickle Up Poverty

Think you need to format/reinstall your OS(XP), read this first.
