Did a system recovery on my computer, speakers do not function

I searched hardware, searched the audio drivers etc. and it won't find my speakers after the system recovery. What do I need to do to get my computer to find my speakers again? Any and all help is appreciated.

The same thing happend to me once and I had to use the Windows XP disk to run the repair function. If you are using a separate sound card you may need to reinstall the software to repair the drivers.

Just google the model number of your speakers and install the drivers for it. It should get you going! If post up the model # i'll send you a link of the drivers

Is it an oboard sound card? If so you'll need your mobo disk for the drivers.

Make sure when you install the auto device, that the playback uses that device.

my boss fuck his shit up and the default playback was his external and not hte internal.

Fixed it! I went through and manually removed the audio driver and all of it's associated drivers, then re-installed them.
