Ok trying this again

I know this is like beating a dead horse, but I'm at my wits end. I am building a computer for a friend. I've put everything together exactly the way it should(to my knowledge) and cannot get a signal to the monitor. At first i thought it was the MB so i sent it back to newegg and got a replacement, after replacing the MB, i still couldnt get a signal. The MB i bought came as a MB vid card combo. Then I come up with the idea that the CPU is bad, so I go to Fry's and buy a MB/CPU combo. I get everything set up and I'm getting almost the same thing. The first time I got a floating box on the monitor that had something to do with the monitor set-up, like what happens when there isnt anything hooked up to it. This time I'm getting just a black screen. Here is my setup:

ECS 945GZT-M motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 LGA775 2.20 GHz, 2MB L2 cache 800 MHz FSB
Corsair HX520w Power Supply
eGeForce 7200 GS vid card
LG dvd burner
PNY DDR2 PC2-5300
Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0 Gb/s

I posted this on pcnerd website and they havent been able to help. One of the guys on the other website said the CPU and MB may not be compatible...

Oh! A phoneg is ringin....

I doubt that it could be non compatible if you bought mb/processor combo at Fry's. You've tried different monitors you know work right? Try taking out the video card and plugging the monitor into the motherboard also.

Yea see if the onboard works then, could be the video card. Other then that i'm not real sure if everything is powering up.
