Question Best dual monitor set-up?

I need a bigger monitor for work. I'm noticing wide screen LCD monitors getting cheaper and cheaper. What is a good set-up to get for dual monitors? two 19-20 inch or there abouts would be great. Anyone have a similar set-up? Did you mount them on the wall?

2 19" monitors look good beside each other.

I'm going to Best buy tonight, they have a 22" widescreen for $209.

Which one?

Dual 19" is a HUGE amount of desktop real estate. Bigger won't hurt but why spend the money...

Also, make sure your video card can support the combined resolution of the monitors. (unless your planning to mirror them)

I just bought two standard size 19" LCDs for our home computer (mainly for wifes school work). Westinghouse models.

Best Buy has them on sale still. 149 bucks each and they arent bad for the money at all.

Hmm, not bad. And if youre gonna do dual screens...its probably better to go with standards and not wide screens.

If you're good with rebates and just need a couple of cheap monitors (if you're not doing anything too graphic intensive) this is a pretty good deal for being local:

I like my quad monitor setup, 2 20.1's & 2 17's, I'll eventually replace the 2 17's with 2 24's but for now it's fine...

i run 2 x 17" samsungs. i dont care for 19" since they are the same resolution 1280x1024 so you dont gain any additional desktop space.

i like 4:3 when running dual monitors... just personal preference. hate when the resolution settings are low.

I like 21 or 22 inch widescreens. It's a matter of preference what kind of space you have though.

Thanks for the replies. I'm now thinking two 17-19" flat panels mounted ont eh wall would be great! I guess I need to checkout Best Buy, as I have about $250 worth of gift cards there I need to use. What kind of wall mount bracketry would be best for two 17-19" monitors?

At work I have a Dell D620 laptop with a built in widescreen. I have that and just above I have a regular 21" Dell LCD and it works pretty well. At home I just have a 19" Widescreen Norcent I got for $100 AR.

Just think, you can have the Back Porch, Photo and Video Forum, and Tech Forum all up at once. Even then you'll have room to watch your pr0n

This is my setup.

However I'm going to swap that ViewSonic for the Samsung I mentioned earlier. The photography I've been doing justifies the better monitor...
