BTW whats the best wireless card for picking up by range

(for a home pc)

I prefer the Buffalo wifi card since it has the ability to have an external antenna also. Then you make the pringles can antenna and pick up some good range. Check out the DSL thread that ssman posted up for more info.

I'll vouch for the Buffalo card..I have one and yes I made a pringles can antenna..THEY WORK. I also bought a magnetic base antenna to use in the car on Ebay and I can pick up so many signals driving around that are usable it almost makes me wonder why people pay for internet..its amazing how many unsecure wireless networks are out there.

When in doubt I buy Cisco or a division of Cisco. However, there are a couple of good references to the other product here.

My '03 Sold.
