What do you do with your modded Xboxes?

I have an XBOX (the old one) that just sits in the house that I never play. I was wondering what I could do with it if I were to mod it. Can it act as a media extender, a server, etc? Just want to put it to use. Post your mod chip, what you do with it, and whatever else I need to know like bios whatever. I have never modded any consoles or anything so I will need some help.

Mine has an executioner 3 and the Avalaunch dashboard. Pretty much sits and takes up space. As a media extender it'll do anything a Xbox 360 or PS3 will and in addition it'll play DivX codecs without any additional software. That and the sky is the limit as far as storage goes, I've used mine as a file server before. You can stack up to 3 IDE drives in it, not sure about size limits though if there are any. It'll run linux with ease and you can get xbox to usb adapters for peripherals. Mine also streams shoutcast channels.

I have mine just for streaming movies from my desktop to the tv and so far. Also, awesome for streaming shoutcast or other sites. Also, they have scripts and wahtnot like that will access apples trailer site, download the trailer and you can watch it. its pretty cool.

and when I am bored, I just play NES or SNES games.

I did mine softmodded. Ive done about 5 and its very easy.

I've got several that serve as media servers. They serve off of a Teraserver with 14TB worth of storage. It can be upgraded to an additional 3 Buffalo Tera Disks via USB.

They'll serve anything that you put on the server. I have CD's, Movies and of course anything on the Internet can be access so long as you have an internet connection hooked up to it.
