Internet Explorer question...

My son sometimes gets on my computer and just pushes buttons. He has done something that I am having trouble fixing. I have WIndows XP. When I right click on a link and select open in new window, the original window I was in closes and it only opens the one I right clicked...how to I keep the original window from closing? Thanks.

IE 6 or IE 7. Seriously it sounds like your IE install is hosed. Either upgrade to IE7 or repair the install in Add/Remove Programs or what I really would do is download Firefox and not use IE for anything unless the site isn't compatible with it (rare). Tabbed browers rock your face off.

Quickest fix, get Firefox!!!!

I have IE 7 and it has tabbed browsers. So there is no setting somewhere that I can change to fix this? IE works fine otherwise.

Since you have XP, lock the computer or create a separate login account for him.
