Irql_not_less_or_equal?

My PC at home ocassionally reboots and flashes this message up on the screen before booting back up again. I just installed a game called City of Villains, and the PC seems to do this quite often after installing this game. Does anybody have any tricks to resolve this problem? I've updated the BIOS, Updated the mobo software and the nvidia software.

I like the hell out of this game, but I'm refusing to play it due to the continuous dumps my PC is taking. It's a relatively brand new PC and the hardware I have is more than ample enough.

TIA,
Geof

I had that problem with Starcraft and Madden '04. I took the cover off and blew a shit-ton of dust out of the inside and off the fan. I also bought a new power supply (the old one was 4-5 years old, if I recall correctly). I'm not sure which of the two fixed it, but something did.

Not the case, checked that a few days ago after you said this.

It can mean a ton of shit, review the dump file, make sure you have it set to dump, then analyze its contents. If you don't know how, then lol @ you. I'll check it out if you can find a place to hold ur dump rofl.

Yeah, you're gonna have to give me a hand.

Where are the dump files stored?

Haven't touched my home PC since yesterday morning. I'll be home at a normal time tonight, which will give me time to play around with it. I'll post it up here when I have it.
I got it to dump again this morning, but the dump file it created was right at a gig. I adjusted the settings to try and obtain a smaller dump file and will post it here once I have it.

It reads like bad hardware. Make sure your computer has plenty of airflow, get the dust out etc. If you got some new hardware recently ( better video card, new hard drives, etc.. ), your power supply might not have enough to keep it powered.

What version of Windows are you running?
